Ruth van Ruyckevelt

Mrs Ruth Van Ruyckevelt, born 1931 died 1 July 1988 was a modeller. She studied for six years at Wimbledon school of art where she met her husband. They married in 1953 and moved to Worcester. In 1958 she was commissioned to produce the first of her Victorian figurine series. For several years she was on the staff of the Malvern College of Art and then on the staff of Malvern Girls College. She had a great knowledge of costume, but a fiery relationship with her husband.
