In this exclusive Graphic Design Exhibition, The Museum have collaborated with Worcester Sixth Form College to showcase up and coming Graphic Design talent from first year A Level Graphic Design students.
Students from Worcester Sixth Form College visited the museum to draw inspiration from the museum’s collection. The items reviewed by the students ranged from china through to archive design materials from the former Royal Worcester Porcelain factory from the last 200 years. Nearly 50 students visited the museum to photograph the collection with items brought out of the archives specifically for them.
These emerging designers were set a brief to create posters that would encourage people to visit the museum. The students could only use their photos and original source material collected on their visit in their designs. This live brief encouraged the students to produce a response to the Museum collection and heritage including using the company logo and strap line. Through this unique opportunity the students have produced an amazing range of posters which will be on display in the exhibition hall at the museum.
This exclusive Graphic Design exhibition from Worcester Sixth Form is open to the public during opening hours until May 2022.
