If you are considering leaving a Gift in your Will to the Museum of Royal Worcester, firstly, thank you. Thank you for sharing our passion for Worcester Porcelain heritage. Your gift will help us transform and care for our collection, so it can delight future generations. A gift of any size helps toward our future.
Remembering us in your will is a very personal decision and an expression of your values that has tangible and lasting impact. Once you have looked after family and friends, many people choose to support causes they are passionate about. It can bring great satisfaction and joy to share values that are important to you, by making a gift that lives on.
Your kindness will help support the Museum’s big goals, wherever the need is greatest. We would love to progress significant projects with your support, such as:
- outreach to schools, young people and vulnerable groups in our communities to inspire involvement, creativity and pride, £50,000 annually
- funding research and producing an annual themed exhibition £15,000
- purchasing a robust collections management system, staff and volunteer training £25,000
- digitising each item in our collection and archive and sharing this through our website
Our vision is to achieve the digitisation of the collection and archive over the next 20 years. We have 18,000 – 20,000 archive records; currently only 5% is digitised, so this is a huge important job. Each item needs to be photographed, so it is preserved digitally, then we can make it available. In this way, we can involve more people of all ages in discovering and celebrating 250 years of iconic design, talent and creativity.
Whatever percentage or amount you choose to donate in your will, your generosity in safeguarding this exceptional heritage is appreciated, and would be recognised in the Museum and online, or accepted anonymously if preferred.
We are here to have a conversation so that you can be sure your donation will help us – in the way you would wish. We can also offer a useful free guide to planning your will. There are also lots of online articles with advice about leaving a Gift in your Will that you could read as part of your research.
Please contact us if you have any questions or to receive a free guide to planning your will. Your solicitor will ask for our charity registration number 223753 and registered name ‘Dyson Perrins Museum Trust’ T/A Museum of Royal Worcester.
Thank you for considering leaving a gift in your will. Thank you for sharing our passion for art, design and Worcester Porcelain’s magnificent heritage.
