Thomas Morton gilder

Thomas Morton junior, gilder died 1938 aged about 58. Thomas Morton senior’s name was sometimes spelt Moreton but I think its correct form was Morton. Father from 1880s left about 1906 and went to Doultons. Thomas Morton Junior, nicknamed ‘Tabby’, was in the Boer War and the First World War. The first gilder to specialise in modelled raised colour and gold work. His daughters Vi and Glad worked at factory. Gilders mark TM, like his father’s.
