Description | Painted ‘Japan’ border on the rim in underglaze blue and onglaze colours with gilding. In the well are the arms, crests, emblems and orders of Lord Nelson for whom it was made in 1802. The motto at the top reads “FAITH AND WORKS” and on the main arms “PALMAM QUI MERUIT FERAT”. |
