We are delighted to announce a new series of eight videos by Philip Serrell.
Philip has now been an auctioneer for over 30 years and after completing a Bsc at Loughborough University, in his early career he was a P.E. and Geography teacher. However after realising this not the career for him, he began to pursue his interest in antiques and auctioneering. Now a famed English auctioneer and antiques expert he has become a familiar face not only at The Museum but also on various BBC TV antiques programmes.
In #SerrellsShorts, Philip guides you through The Museum, picking out some of his favourite items within our collection. Each week, Philip focuses on one particular item and shares his thoughts on why it is special to him. He uncovers some fascinating stories along the way, allowing you to learn about the hidden gems of the Museum!
