The Worcester Hop pattern features a variety of hops grown on the village of Mathon on the Worcester/Hereford border. The pattern was first used around 1795, during the Flight and Barr period. In 1955 the foreman painter Harry Davis set to work on the paintings and drawings. About ten years of work were necessary before the pattern suited and fitted the shapes perfectly and it was finally introduced in 1966.

Fine Bone China Dinnerware in the Earl shape with litho which reproduced the Flight & Barr design, depicting clusters of hops and hop leaves intertwining the border and centre, in green shades, on ivory ground edged with gold.
