Have you ever fancied making your own plate from chocolate? We are putting the porcelain away for the weekend and getting the chocolate out. We are offering you the chance to make a plate using traditional slip casting techniques but cast from chocolate and not porcelain.
We are delighted to be welcoming world-renowned chocolate artist Prudence Staite (Food is Art) to the museum who has designed a unique workshop for you.
In the morning Prudence will guide you through preparing the chocolate and the mould and then you will slip cast your own Museum of Royal Worcester inspired plate. The mould you will use has been cast from the Royal Worcester Howard design plate.
You will then enjoy a light lunch, proved by the museum and have time to explore the museum and the collections.
After lunch you will then get creative, decorating your hand made plate. Prudence will demonstrate the art of chocolate decoration, showcasing different techniques and the materials you can use. You will then have time to paint your own plate using cocoa butter coloured with edible food dyes. You might take inspiration from the Royal Worcester collections in the museum, or you can have free creative reign!
Prudence will be on hand throughout the day to answer your chocolate art and design questions and ensure you have a very unique experience
Day will last 10am – 4pm.
Cost £120per person. Limited to 10 people for this exclusive workshop with Prudence
